Ruby is found worldwide. The highest quality stones are from Myanmar. Bright red stones are mined in Afganistan, Pakistan, Vietnam. Brownish-red ruby are from Thailand. Darker stones are generally produced from the mines in Australia, India, Russia and the USA.
